To ratify a Power of Attorney (PoA) issued outside the UAE, several legal steps must be followed. First, the document must be notarized by a public notary in the country of issuance. Next, the Power of Attorney needs to be authenticated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or its equivalent in that country.
Following this, the UAE embassy in the issuing country must also certify the document. Once the Power of Attorney arrives in the UAE, it must be attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MOFAIC). Finally, a certified translation into Arabic is required if the document is in another language, ensuring it can be used legally within the UAE.
